Here is the first release of the Defenders, a group of fine jamaican
reggae singers & players Clinton "Bassie" Fearon and Clinton Rufus come to
The Defenders from The Gladiators. Bassie played bass, sang harmony
and some lead vocal for that group. Clinton Rufus played lead guitar
after playing for some time with Lloyd Parks and We The People.
Alric Forbes was, along with Yabby You, a founder of The Prophets and also
toured with The Gladiators. Errol "Tarzan" Nelson is keyboard player
of much reknown who started his carrier with Skin, Flesh & Bones
and has played with most reggae artists including Sly & Robbie,
Dennis Brown, Gregory Isaacs and Mutabaruka. Greg Jones, a talented youth
from Seattle, joined The Defenders in 1988 as drummer and keeps the rocking steady.
